@Ghost-of-a-Duke You came in to discourage legitimate discussion, as if you are defending what you consider to be proper chess, independent from it's own history. I posted about Capablanca variant (it's actually Pietro Carrera's innovation , 17th century priest) and Capablanca's critique of the limitation of the standard game as it is known and you came in completely ...[text shortened]... us perfectly formed, set in stone, without modification or revision, separate from it's own history.
I'm an avid Scrabble player and last Christmas I was gifted a novelty Scrabble board that was on a Star Wars theme and incorporated little space ships and playing cards.

Your variant is no better than that. - I can see for GMs, who have mastered the original game of chess and where most games ended in a draw (a prediction still not realised) that a variant including extra pieces might be worth looking at. - But for us mere mortals who will never master the original game, all variants are surplus to requirement.

@Ghost-of-a-Duke You know nothing about the variant, and you know nothing about the history of the game or how old Capablanca's (Carerra's) variant is. You have not answered to any of my points, and you have not countered as to how the extra pieces move, or on what basis you are opposed to them? If you can't contribute constructively, then why are you here posting?

The question is, why are you here on a site offering conventional chess?

That's the real question.

@Ghost-of-a-Duke No, the question is why are you so concerned, feeling that your sacred game is threatened? I can say that the pawn game is vitally more important in Capablanca versions of chess, especially in opening and early stage of game.

The game you are so opposed to is already in process of being made available on Red Hot Pawn, so you will need to double down and to bolster your argument as to why this particular version should be banned as inferior game. You have given no reasons as to why you consider that this game should be opposed?

@russ has already helpfully provided the link. The message I got from AI was that the game is already playable here, and that is why I came here, and was disappointed to find that game is not YET available to play. -

Although not in a good state right now, an experimental variant web site called EvoChess.com DOES support Capablanca play.

Unfortunately, sign up is broken on EvoChess right now. I was (and will be again) in the process of sorting this out, so within 2 weeks this will be available once more.

Send a support message on site feedback, and when that site is back up, I'll respond to notify you.

@Russ
Thanks for that Russ. I have made an account to evochess.com, I will try to send feedback.
