This may have been answered elsewhere; if so apologies.

When I left the site years ago I set my challenge settings to players over 3600 so no-one could challenge me.

I logged in today to look at something and someone with a p-rating of 1200 has challenged me to a rated game in the last hour.

I'm no longer active here (I might come back). How has someone outside of my parameters been able to challenge me to a game and how to I get rid of the challenge.

I don't want to just wait it out on the basis that the challenge should never have been possible in the first place.

No need to apologize. Your rating limit is there and I can't challenge you.

The challenge you mention is there also.

You can delete it from the "my Games" list by clikcing on the trash bin.

About the rating limit I would suggest to send feedback. This could be a programming glitch, if p1200 is not considered to be 1200 for compariosn.

@Ponderable Thanks for the speedy response. Been so long I couldn't remember how the site worked!

I have deleted the game as suggested and have sent feedback - I suspect, as you suggested, it might be the low number of games (1) and the p-rating the challenger had which caused the issue.

@Ponderable Yep - def. an issue here. Now I have a challenge from Tyler Neal as well (p1200) and RichH (p1064). Is it all p-ratings, not just p-1200?

Wonder if this a recent issue as I've not had a challenge since I left and now two in two days...

Is anyone else getting this issue?

It has to be the provisional thing.
1200 is the default until a player has completed so many games(I think it's 20)
The player on p1064 must've lost some games before he reaches the 20

Anyone returning to the site in response to an email about inactive account closure will receive a couple of games against other recent returners to help player's get back involved again.

It appears that this is not respecting the challenge settings.

Would it make sense to put greeters in there?

Possibly, but at the time I was putting it together, I didn't want greeters to become overwhelmed.

@Russ

I didn't rejoin the site due to an email - I used my login to see something I could not access without logging in.

I've never authorised people challenging me to encourage me to play again. If i want to play again I will either issue or accept a challenge.

I do not understand why I need to keep logging in to delete challenges I have deliberately changed my settings to prevent.

I accept the fix may not be quick so please can you let me know how I can prevent unwanted challenges.
