what about being able to see if the player can be challenged, instead of challenge him first, just to find out you can't.
and why not being able to challenge someone from this pop-up window which apears when you click on his name?

Good points, both. I will add these to my (ever growing) list.

Both are low impact changes though, so they should be quite easy to put in place.

Another suggestion wrt challenges: it would be nice to have the option of always allowing challenges from those on your buddy list, regardless of the number of concurrent games and your buddy's rating.
