changing my profile

I cannot see how to change/edit my profile. Has anyone done that, and if so, how?

Go to the top of the page to "My Settings", click that and go to "My profile settings", click that and you will open a window that will allow you to edit your profile, select a flag, etc.

When you have everything set to what you want, go to the bottom of the page and click the "update" button.

That should take care of it.
