CHECKMATE?

I just finished my first game with a friend (his first game also). I put him in check-mate and the game didn't end, he had to resign. Why didn't it show a check mate and/or how or what should we have done to get it to show check mate. I looked around and saw other games that finished in mate.

I would attach the game for you to look at if it would help and you tell me how.

I suppose you mean Game 345075 ( it's your only finished game.

The answer is simple. It isn't checkmate... yet.

Ne7 is possible.

that is the correct game and I didn't see that, oops. It been almost 10 years since I've played. Will the game show check mate in the same location as where it shows check when the game is over.

I saw that after it was pointed out that I missed the knight. Kip19 knew the game was over long before we got to that point but we wanted to finish it since it was our first game.
