The current scoring system for clan games is set up in such a way that a) large clans can score more points per game, and b) clans playing many games are more likely to be at the top of the leaderboard.
A better system might be to calculate a clan's ranking based on their percentage of wins, as in most American sports.

But I'm afraid there's one thing that you have forgotten...
The problem will be that clans wil only challenge clans with lower ratings, so that they don't lose, cause if they do, their percentage will drop, and they will lose places...in the current system (wich is not perfect, but I think good enough) you lose nothing when losing to another clan, so nothing holds clans back to challenge better clans now.
