It is an opening system based on a d4 opening for White. By system, I mean that White's pieces are developed to certain squares , usually regardless of Black's replies. If you don't want to get bogged down in opening theory, the placement of pieces on the same square every time might appeal to you.

I have played over 7000 games oat RHP with the white pieces, and I can honestly say that I believe at least 6500 of them have been the Colle. If you play tournament chess, one fantastic advantage of this opening is you can snap off a lot of moves quickly, conserving your clock for middle and endgame play.
Can someone please explain what is Colle Zuckertort.
