Credit card is ok/authorization failed?

I tried to sub and it said authorization failed...I tried twice.
I called the card help line and it says I have a balance of 100 with no transactions 🤔
It's a MasterCard gift card.
What should I do?

Ok now it says it worked and account will be updated shortly. 🤗

Good to hear it resolved itself - did you do anything different when it worked? It might help others in the future to know.

It wasn't working so I took a nap and when I woke up it worked. I didn't do anything different.
The only thing I can think of is that gift card was just bought...not even an hour old when I tried to use it so maybe it takes time before they can be used.
After a few hours it worked 😉
