drawing to higher people

i was woundering if i lose to a person or draw with them if my rating would go down. the player i am playing is at 1450 about and i am at 1200P.

Yes.. lose to someone your rating goes down.
Draw to someone lower than you, your rating goes down
Draw to someone higher than you, your rating goes up.

The exception is that if the ratings are too far apart (don't know exact amount), then there is no loss of points when the lower rated player loses

As a provisional player, wierd things can happen to your rating. Read the FAQ.
