Forum FAQ?

I think it would be a good idea if there were a forum FAQ or sticky thread only for how to questions and answers. For example, I recall having seen a nice forum option of linking to a game with some tag in square brackets, but I don't remember what it is. It would be nice to have some sort of reference document, even if only sticky thread at the top of this forum, where we could see what our forum formatting and linking options were.
