free computer chess download

Been looking for a free computer chess download on internet (not try before your buy) and the one I managed to find has a bug in it!

Any one know a site where I can get a free download game.

I've downloaded 'Rival UC1-1,18' & 'rival-1.8.29-registered' but can't get either to open.

I'm using windows xp.

any help would be appreciated.
