I have not found a way to play a game straight through, as if we were sitting face to face. There must be some way of getting players together.
For what you want, there are two choices:
1. Make a pre-arrangement with someone, either by in-game message or using the private message system, to meet at a set time and play through a game.
2. Go to the blitz portion of the site (button at top of page) and either choose a game that's on offer or make your own offer. If you want to play a particular opponent, you can use any messaging system you like to arrange a particular time.
