How about game links directing you to the beginning of a game, rather than to the end like it is now?A minor issue, but I'd like that 🙂

No,I mean when someone posts a gamelink in a thread.I know I can go to the beginning with one click, but by then I've seen the final position. That's just it,I want to view a game from the top without any knowledge of the final position.
    But,as I said,just a very minor issue.

Yes, this would be a nice feature; even better might be to be able to specify the move number in the link.

ah, you mean that: Game 571603?
so this is the boardhistory. it's almost the same as the analyseboard...
and with one click (under "Navigate game history" the button on the left "ShowStart()" ) will lead you to the initial position.
It would be nice to have a direct game link, but I don't see that this is m necessary 😉

I would like to be able to place a board position directly into a post. This would be great for chess discussions (and this is a chess site).

As an alternative, a game link with a move number would work.

I would like to start a thread where my opponent and I comment publicly on a game as we play it. I think this could be very interesting for everyone here at RHP. Placing board positions directly in the text would make such a thread much easier to participate in.

Please see my thread: Meet Opponents->Are you willing to annotate during game?

Some time ago "private" and "public" games existed. Now just "public" do exist.
Why not make some "tutorial" games where everybody can read the messages?
It would be cool to be able to search for those games and learn that way...
    hm?

This has been discussed, and will be added.

It will be possible to insert a FEN into a forum post like this :

    Invalid FEN inserted - PPPPP(Etc)

And the board will be shown.

    Just testing:

OOPS. Missed "will be" is future tense.

Anyway, that will be great, and thanks for the quick reply.
