How did this player get in this Banded Tournament?

Take a look at the final quad there is a 1600+ player in a 1300-1350 banded tournament that just started. It seems very fishy since I thought the lowest your tournament rating could go is 100 below your 365 day high?

I just figured it out he took exactly 1-year off got his tournament rating down and reloaded. Odds of him winning this banded tournament are hig I would suspect.

I am more interested about his funny graph with 100+ rating points jumps up and down.

I've asked about it, I've feed backed, I've written a mail directly to Russ. But no response - yet - mayby never.

Did you look at my post in Thread 131730?

Once again, the strange part of the graph comes in a sequence of games that all ended on the same day. All the examples I looked at were tournament games ended by timeout. I strongly suspect they all ended at exactly the same time and that the graph-drawing module cannot retrieve them in the correct order.

do you have to subscribe to compete in any tournament

Most tourneys, yes. There are the rare non-sub tournaments.

Sad, isn't it? Someone capable of a 1700 rating is so desperate for respect that he sandbags his way into a tournament for 1300 players. "King of the kids" is a phrase that comes to mind. Makes one wonder if that 1700 rating has been honestly earned.
