how do I buy a star for somebody else

My brother plays on this site as a non subscriber and I would like to get the lad a star, how should I go about it.

Just like you were subscribing for yourself. The last step asks for the user name for whom you are buying the subscription. Give it your brother's user name.

Correct. But one VERY important thing... make sure the user name is EXACTLY right - best to copy it before starting so that it can be pasted in at the end.
