The [ pgn ] tag sets up a visual version of the game that allows you to step through the game.
In your example, you cannot click on the board, but you're not meant to. The board merely displays the moves, which you CAN control by clicking on either the move list, or the buttons under the board.
You did it exactly right.
Originally posted by Sebastian YapHmmmm, I can, so it must be a problem on your end. Perhaps you're using an outdated browser that the site no longer supports? I dunno, I'm at a loss as to why it's not working for you.
I cannot click on the move list at all. I cannot click on anything. Even pressing play, next etc. nothing happens.
Originally posted by Sebastian YapThis is strange. I cannot get it to play either, but when I copy and paste it into the reply box and use the preview feature it works fine. When I then actually posted the reply it would not work, the same as with your original.
How do I insert pgn? For example [pgn]1. Ng1f3 e6 2. g3 d5 3. Bf1g2 Ng8f6 4. c4 Bf8c5 5. d4 Bc5b4 6. Nb1c3 Bb4xc3 7. bxc3 dxc4 8. Nf3e5 Nb8d7 9. Ne5xc4 a6 10. Bc1a3 Ra8b8 11. Qd1d2 b5 12. Rd2xd5 c5 27. Rd5e5 Ke8f8 28. Rd1d8#[/pgn] does not work. I cannot click on anything.
I next tried to copy and paste the original and start a new thread with it and that failed to work too. exactly the same as the Sebastian Yap original.
Plus before posting that test thread I tried to preview it. It was condensed so that the move list on the right was actually printed on top of the playing board, but the game would play while in preview mode. There was plenty of white empty space to the right of the board so I don't know why it moved the list on top of the board like that.
I am trying this while using a laptop, windows 7 and firefox.
