How do you promote a pawn on the analyze board?

I move it to the eight rank but it just stays a pawn

Far right side and bottom of screen:

Drag pieces from the bin at the bottom to add pieces. Drag from the board to the bin to remove.

In other words, drag your piece of choice to the 8th rank square and it will replace the pawn.
