You need to put in a FEN, a certain kind of chess notation used to represent a position. You could read FAQ, where it explains how FEN is used, then write it in the box. But I'd suggest setting up the position by starting to create a set piece game. At the top of that screen, there's a FEN if it's a legal position. Just set up your position, then copy and paste it into the box.
