you can play a maximum of six when unsubscribed, as many as you can cope with (or more in some cases...) if you subscribe.
Note that when you finish a game, the system takes a little time to adjust and let you start another. So If you've got six on the go at one time and one of them ends, there may be a short wait till you can start another.
