    there was some switch I could flip to hide my oppenents rating on the actual game screen.

    Its all psychological, but when I see a lower rating than mine, I slack off, and get whipped. Then, when I see higher ratings, I take my time, and usaully put up more of a fight before my inevitable destruction.

    If I had no clue of my opponents rating, I would probably play a bit more consistently.

    Probably more trouble than its worth, but just a thought.

    As you said it's all psycological,you don't need something to hide your opponent's rating,it's all in your mind................
