I want to see what is recently posted in the very long threads (more than 50 pages long perhaps) but I have to go to 20th page and click next to see what is most recently posted. This consumes a lot of time.

Is there a shorter way?

Yes. Click on the date, in the "Last Post" column, and you'll get to the last page of the thread.
