how do i make a link to a game, or display it on the forum. i'm a little lost on this site and can't seem to find anything under FAQ's

Also, how do i initiate the clock alert symbol?

To display a game. click on reply to get the posting box up and near the bottom you'l see 'insert link to a game' You will have to have noted/copied the number of the game you'd like to post. Also make sure that it is not a game in progress as this is against the law.

You do not iniate the clock alert symbol, It starts depleting when your opponents have not moved in the allocated time. If a skull appears you can claim a win.

well that didn't work!
You've got tags in your post saying 'fen'. You clicked the "insert board" link. You want the "Insert link to a game" option - you'll get tags saying 'gid'.
