Can a position be loaded into the Games Explorer so it will search for any games with that position, even if the moves leading up to it were in a different order? That's called transposition, but the only 2 ways I can find for input both involve following just one specific move order from the start, either PGN or manual entry with the board...

As you can see from the browser-adress window the database is based on a pgn.
I think (but am not sure) that there is somehow a sorting by FEN is possible, probably you can contact Greenpawn about this.

@Ponderable saidYes.Greenpawn once explained how he found positions he wanted to feature in his blogs.I don't know if it's something anyone can do or if he has a dedicated programme to do this.
