In what sense? As I said, I have had no problems with I.E. 5.5 onwards - whether that's because I've used good security software in addition I don't know.
What is your complaint with I.E. that Mozilla / Opera avoids?
And Mozilla, while not entirely immune, is by far the more secure platform for internet browsing.
I have IE at work, after using Mozilla at home, I can't bear surfing the web at work anymore. I'm begging the IT department to install Mozilla.
The Tab bar is the best feature by far, especially useful for RHP. But another feature that is way superior to IE is the print preview and scaling. On IE you just print and pray. In Mozilla you get exactly what you want.
And Eureka! No more irritating pop-up ads.
Originally posted by GatecrasherAlready I have found the whole platform more stable with no pop-ups and no bundled upgrade patches req'd ( IE's on service pack # 28,946 no less ) It's worth it just for the tabed browsing alone and I now also run Mozilla Thunderbird for my mail.

Originally posted by eyeqpcYep, I had the same drama trying to get a theme loaded. Also I had an annoying pop-up that preceded a program . Knowing of XP's intolerance of anything not MS let alone IE / OE I opted to un-instal Firefox and Thunderbird and loaded the Mozilla Suite proper ( ver. 1.7.1 ) and it now humms. It's a little involved but if anyone wants a walk thru I'd post it.
I am seriously having trouble downloading and installing a theme for thunderbird, anyone else have this bother

PS: thks Lazaraus for that link - it convinced me to change to the Suite instead of running the stand-alones.
Originally posted by ExyJust the tabbed browsing makes the switch worthwhile. In addition, it includes a popup-stopper, which totally rocks (until you end up at work using IE, and get double-annoyed by popups cos you're not used to them).I use firefox (browser-only version), and it also seems a little faster at rendering pages.
