It's a good idea, not only for visually impared members, but also for people with primitive mobile connections.

Can anyone tell me any site that allows moves by keyboard? It's not just the visually-impaired, faulty motor control restricts the use of a mouse for precise clicking. There is a big market out there in providing additional ways to do things.

This comes up quite often, mainly for accessibility on mobile devices.

I will try to make this available soon, if possible.

    In the meantime ...
    try this -

    Get firefox (http://getfirefox.com)
    Get greasemonkey (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/748)

    Install this script -
    http://rhp42.110mb.com/gm_scripts/type_move.user.js

Once installed you should ONLY use the text input. The board will probably still allow moves to be made and highlight accordingly - but ONLY THE TEXT FIELDS WILL BE SUBMITTED!. You could quite easily end up with a move on screen that looks safe whilst you've typed in a move that is not. The typed in move will take precedence one this script is installed.

    Not dangerous.

Simply that the text will take precedence over the mouse made moves. If you don't enter anything in the text boxes then it thinks there is no move to make, regardless of what you done on the board.

If I get time I'll update the script to fill in the text boxes based on the mouse made moves too.

That is very kind and accommodating for you and others to help those who need some special assistance because of reasons beyond their control. It makes the world a better place. Thank you for doing the right thing, as I knew you would.
