New script uploaded.
It's been tested thoroughly.
Moves are entered using algebraic notation - there are two new fields by the submit button where you enter the 'from' and 'to' co-ordinates.
When you make a move using the mouse in the usual way, the text fields update to show the move made.
When you enter a move using the text fields then the board reverts back to the initial state.
When I get time (unlikely) I'll get a version that moves the board inline with what has been typed.

I've been using this myself, as I use a laptop that doesn't have a working mouse. It's been a great assistance, and it's set up so conveniently. Thank you very kindly for this script. It's excellent help.

Glad to help.
Make sure you load the most recent version.
The very first script was buggy.
I'm new here. Ejoying it very much. BUT I cannot get a pawn to promote! I have read the blurbs on the board & tried double-clicking and right-clicking. It only moves the pawn back to it's last square. I can get it to work OK on the analyze board.
Thanks to all...

Just move the pawn normally, it will promote itself. You'll get another screen asking you what you want to promote it to.

Thanks Miss;
I have tried this, too. No luck. I can get it to promote on the analyze board, but not on the playing board. I feel like I'm missing doing some obvious thing, but still cannot get it to work on the game board. Any other suggestions are certainly welcome!
