Match sizes in tournaments

The current tournament match allocation method looks to me as if the MOAKT will end up with a 3 way match as the final: The number of players left going down as 242,121,60,30,15,7,3,1 - is that correct Russ?

Does anyone else find this a bit strange?

Not at all, I'm certain some players will draw matches or win both one, so there would be the same risk for a 3-player final when the number of entrants would be 256!🙂
