Messages no longer showing up

In the past, I had the ability to keep messages (in and out) for awhile, then delete them.
Lately I've noticed there is no longer a log of messages available.

I still have a full page of messages in my inbox, covering the last month. They're normally deleted after a month. Perhaps you haven't had any in the last month.
