I can only speak as an Android user, but have both the Android-based RHP Notification widget installed on my phone and also the new RHP App. The former isn't officially RHP-supported, but does have a good audible (chess move) notification; the RHP app puts a visual move notification on my home screen, but there's no audible tone as far as I can see. Interestingly, the audible tone is always quicker than the app's visual notification in my experience, but that may be just a settings issue, not sure.

I will be investigating proper push notifications for both iPhone and Android soon. This will optionally let you know right away that a move is waiting.
