Originally posted by CalJustHey, CJ, the current exchange rate is R6.50 to the $. So a sub is R130. That's 30% less than 1 month's ISP's fees, 50% less than the average meal for 2 at a half-decent restuarant, a third of 1 months satellite TV subs, 1/2 a tank of petrol, a paperback novel, a bargain DVD, a no-name brand T-shirt, and ..... if you, in SA, with a MUCH higher inflation rates than USA and Europe, are not earning at least 10-20 times what you were earning in 1982, life has indeed passed you by.
I have seriously considered membership many times(and may yet do so!). However, just to put the money matters into perspective, $20 may buy a hamburger and Coke in the US and UK, but it certainly does not do so in SA. With the current exchange rate, $1 buys R7 to R8, whilst the cost of goods in Rands and Dollars is about the same (i.e. a hamburger and Co ...[text shortened]... ns that RHP membership for SA is about seven to eight times more than in the US or UK.

I think at most, a limit on the number of post is okay, as the first poster said. But if you block them, the non-stars will have no way of seeing how fun it is to join in the debates.
BTW, I like to flame and stay, not run away.
