Personal clan league setting

I'm hoping to clarify how the clan league flag works. Basically, I'm looking to play in the 1-day league for one clan and the 3-day for another. I'm selected to the one day team already. If I change my flag before the 1-day league season starts up, will I remain on the team I've been selected to or will the system automatically remove me from the team?
