I noticed that for the last few days the response from the site, is much slower than normal,did anyone notice that??.

I'm not far away from you, down in Tassie; if anything I have found the site much faster.

Using Telstra NBN wireless; maybe your computer is getting old, your internet provider is having issues; I am using a new week old Lenovo desktop which is super fast but even my 10 year old HP desktop is quicker than before; I don't think it is a problem at Russ's end

Russ has been aware of the issue for a while now.
Apparently at regular intervals the server is bombarded by AI bots which slows things down a bit.
It all depends when you log in as to the response speed.

We have been dragging some here in Eastern Canada. Russ knows about the issue and is aware of the issue and also what is causing it. Just may be the part of the world you are living in where you are not being effected.

Yes, it has been acting up periodically ever since early June. See "Site Slow" in 'General Forum'.

I think we are on oppostite sides of the world so I agree it depends on when the bots attack.

The internet is being plagued by AI bots right now scraping anything and everything.

We need a proper solution to prevent this, so please, if possible, grin and bear it for now until I get something in place to deal with this rather new problem.

It is very frustrating.
