Quick question about ratings

If my opponents rating changes during the course of a game when our game finishes which rating is used? The rating the players were at the start, or the rating the players are at the end?

I always assumed the latter, but wanted to double check.

Quick answer about ratings: you were right first time (ie the end rating is what counts).
