Ranking table

When looking at the rankings table there is a 'find me' button.
I click on it and it shows my ranking which is currently 2618; under the heading 'ranking' another number appears in an oval, what does this represent please?

I think that is the total number of players included on the list.
If you clear the 'find me' button and then flip the order you will see the first or last member on the list as you flip the order.

I found the number 6894 just now when I looked at it, which matched the number in the oval on the top left of the page.
