Rate drops after each draw

Why does my rate drop when an opponent claims a draw? For example, I was on 1360 on 09/05, but when the opponent successfully claimed a draw, my rate suddenly dropped to 1351 (9 points drop)!

This is because you were rated about 200 points higher than your opponent.

You won't lose rating points if you draw against an eqaully rated opponent.

But you'll gain points with a draw against a higher rated opponent. Imagine playing the game of your life against someone rated 2000 and ending up with a draw, you'd want some kind of reward for a draw against a 2000... I would as well, sneaky 2000s.
