Hi

When opening this page:

http://www.chessatwork.com/board/showthread.php?threadid=22655&page=5

the info bar at the bottom of my browser said "Transferring data from www.heartbreakers.info". Is this supposed to happen or is my pc doing something it shouldn't be?

thanks - Kev

Stop using Internet Explorer. I've got no issues using Firefox.

Hm, my suspection was that it must be one of the avatars (which are not hosted at RHP), but all avatars on that page are from other sources. Strange.

You guys might have got some spyware. Try getting a spyware program and run it. Also turn up your security settings, clear your temperary internet files, and cookies.

I think you get this kind of thing when you open any internet page. It just happens so fast that you don't see it. The page in questoin though has that many graphics and smileys on it, that it takes a while to download the full page, so you get to see all the page make up at the bottom of the page.

Have cleared everything and run spyware checker - still happens 🙁

Yet to try cranking up security settings.....I'll give that a go....

Just a guess, but do you have cookies blocked on your machine?

Some users' avatars try to plop cookies on your computer. If you are blocking them, perhaps it keeps transferring the data because the cookie won't "set"...
