1) Make sure you are not using privacy mode. This will end your session as described.

2) Yes. It has been the primary focus over the last couple of months and is nearly complete. Due to seasonal disruption, and a whole lot of polish and testing that is required, this is due in Jan 2017.
I am aiming to take some comparison photos with the Android version for Facebook later today or tomorrow morning.
