i have read the faqs .. but it makes no sense to me as i was taken off into other places ... which do not resolve my problem
i joined here july 2007 .. the 11th i think.
now i have automatically got money taken out of my account for another year.
... excuse me but i do not want another years subs!
how do i stop this happening again?

Use the Feedback link at the bottom of this page. I think they prioritize these kind of problems, and take care of them right away.
I think everyone who subscribe to this marvelous site should be informed very explicitly that the subscription fee will be automatically drawn from your account, once a year, until you say otherwise or will stop the subscription.
There are situations where you use a friends VISA card (if you of some reason don't use your own) and the subscription fee is taken from his account, once every year, without realizing it.
