I know that the clock doesn't start ticking until a game has been started but what happens if my opponent has stopped playing altogether? The game hasn't started so the clock hasn't started either. I hope DaBearsFan08 is ok but he hasn't moved since 27 Feb when he was timed out. See January 2008 Banded Duel 1325-1400, Dudley v DaBearsFan08.
Thanks
Dudley

, its unimportant weather or not the clock is ticking. Whats important is if your opponent moves within the agreed period.
But ill have to agree that not all the FAQ are as accurate as they could be.
Originally posted by DudleyAlthough you can't see it behind the scenes the clock is ticking away and timebank etc is being eroded. As this is a 7/14 game it means that 23 days will need to elapse before the win will be awarded to you automatiucally. THis is because tournament games time out automatically 2 days after the timeout period expires.
Thanks for your help zo, I hope you don't mind me shortening your nameπ. I'm a bit thick I know but try to explain to me why, when I started as white 11 days ago the clock started, and as he/she hasn't yet moved the clock hasn't started. Please type slowly so that I can understand!π
