timed out

this maybe a dumb question, but...
I timed out on a game that never showed it was waiting. I check the site every day. when i check my games today i had lost by timing out.

what did i miss. your help is appreciated.

You mean it was showing "opponent's move" when it wasn't? Hmm. Odd.

Did you have only a very small amount of time left in your timebank? Is it possible he moved immediately after you checked the site, and then timed you out before you had the chance to check again?

What time controls were you playing?
