I seem to remember that when the vacation time-out protection feature was first introduced at RHP, there was also a provision that the vacation feature would not be honored in any tournaments.
Am I just imagining this or was it true at one time? I also think this policy was clearly stated on the tournament entry page.

Perhaps you are thinking of the grace period allowed before automatic timeouts in tournaments(i.e if the skull is not taken)
