But this seems to be how it is now, anywhere your name appears, the plane shows next to it, even on your name in thread lists.
You also get the banner at the top of your profile. Seems to be working now.

Most of my Vacations have been used because I was having medical issues or someone else was so I didn't time out. I haven't had a real vacation in over a decade now and I am RETIRED!!!
I guess it could be debated that I am on vacation as I don't work anymore at least for money. 😉
