I have been pursuing happiness from the day that I gained consciousness.

I am sure I was happy before that, as a baby. Warm, taken care of, free of
societal rules and with no other expectation over my shoulders other than to
breathe, eat, sleep and poop. The occasional smile or "gah!" was celebrated
though not demanded.

I have tried way too many things in life, and none of them has brought me
happiness. The occasional grin of satisfaction, but not more. The closest I
have felt to something I'd define as happiness is when I have serves my fellow
humans spontaneously and without expecting (nor getting) material nor societal reward.

Something else I have just discovered is that gadgets are, also, not happiness.

I felt happy with my smartphone for the first week or so. But then it became...
well... just a phone. Nothing else.

It's not with gadgets, it's with heroin.

Happiness comes from within, blah, blah, blah.

"Happiness" is just a movie. A good one, indeed (thank you Seitse for Solondz!).

in this tiny lil excerpt from yer general lament iz the key to yer unhappiness...

you were not suckled...
suckling iz THE key to happiness...

but,
i can assure you that it iz not too late!!!
begin, now, this very day, this very minute, to suckle...
and suckle until you make up for all lost suckling time...

do not be content with just one teat, or a pair...
travel the countryside of finland, finding every willing maid, and suckle to yer hearts content...

and,
when the maids are all dry, ALL of them, then, my son, you will be happy...

Simplify and breasts aplenty.

It rings wise to me.

for as long as it's making your life simpler. giving up all technology and moving into a hole in t' ground would probably make life incredibly impractical and complex.
