On December 17th I weighed in at 78.2kg, the heaviest I'd ever been. Today I hit the scales after a steady 4 weeks eating and drinking binge with frightening results.

82.4kg 😲

Once you hit 30 it is downhill

It's not what you eat between Christmas and New Years Eve that makes you put on weight - it's what you eat between New Years Eve and Christmas.

Read this somewhere, it makes sense.

No, it's clearly what you eat between mid December and mid January 😉

Actually not so long ago I was only 65kg so i was trying to put on weight but over 4kg in a month is pretty ridiculous.

Not sure if you're British, but don't they all eat a "Ploughman's lunch" over there? Maybe reduction of ALE is advisable...

Only ploughmen eat it regularly - for the rest
its just the occasional Saturday lunch at the pub.

Ale is not fattening, i should know, i made 22 litres of it over the Christmas period, its all gone sadly. I have lost 10 kgs (22lbs) in fact, since the beginning of December by going regularly to the gym. The fact is, that whatever your body does not use up gets stored in one form or another, whether its sugar or protein.

Ale and beer should be considered health foods, they are made of entirely natural things and are good and healthy for you. Drink more real ale and beer and watch the kilos drop off.
