You often get transpositions into other openings from it, it depends on what opening you are after.

English Opening - very annoying indeed when it come to move order transpositions into other setups, you better watch your step!

A most excellent opening. Quirine and GuravV have disected it with realative ease, but I have excellent results gainst almost everyone else. You can play
1. c4
2. g3
3. Bg2
4. Nc3

Almost regardless of what black plays. It doesn't have to be done that way, but it is one option. Probably the most annoying reply black can offer is the slav since it cannot be avoided and I have never really played 1.d4.
