tsk, tsk, tsk... you're all on the wrong track... it isn't "1. g4", it's '1. g4!!!!', for white has a decisive advantage with a forced mate in 256, if played right
As someone who has played 1.g4, surely the point of this move is to play g5 (after a supporting Nf3 if necessary).
