    Game 1
    3-Minute

    15. ... Nxd4 !! ... Oops !!!

18.Bh4 really saved my tail. (If 18.Qc2 first, I was afraid of Ne4.)

38.Rxb7 or 39.Re5+ would have been much nicer ways to win.

    Game 2
    Also 3-Minute

    12.e5? ... Terrible Move

15.f4 through 18.Nxd5 was my great swindle attempt. I knew that c7 would fall, but the tricky part was seeing that his queen had no check from f4.

I was right to turn down the a8 rook for the attack, although I didnt play it quite right around move 29 (Qf6+).

For the second game, why not 30 Ng6+? That simplifies quickly.

    30 Ng6+ ...Kg4
    31 Qxh6 ...Kf5 (...Bf5 Nf6#, anything other non king move Qh6 ...Kf5 Qf4# )

Unfortunately, time trouble had set in, and I began to panic.

30.Nef6 intending Ng5 is the fastest way to win (Qc1+ 31.Rxc1 and 32.Ng5 mate).

30.Ng5+ is also a great move. It only takes one more move to mate than the line above (Kg4 31.Qxh6 with mate on move 33 ... eg 31. ... Kf5 32.Qh4 followed by 33.Qf4 mate).
