Are any of you RHPers going to play in this USCF CC event this year? I've never played in an official CC event and am curious to hear comments from anyone who has played in one. Also, are there any other popular cash prize CC tourney that I should be aware of?

The USCF 2007 Electronic Knights Championship (mirrors the Golden Knights Championship structure but all games are played using email) has a prize fund of $2100.00 which is based on 200 entries which is distributed among the top 10 places as follows:
First Place: $ 700.00 plus title of 2007 Electronic Knights Champion and plaque.

Fourth:-Tenth: $ 100.00 each
After playing on a server, I find that the having to do all the legwork with email is quite annoying. That said, I do play a couple of USCF events because I feel they are more prestigious than RHP. I might enter that one...
When does registration end?

I'm playing in a John W. Collins Memorial CC right now. 4 player double round-robin. I played in the Golden Knight of 1996. It was a great tournament. The only problem you might face is timely game assignments. But, Alex Dunne does the best that he can, and is very helpful. He actually called me at my home to tell me he sent my game assignments to my email account.
On a side note. I read in Chess Life that you can have 2 players CC Matches! I'd love to have a six game rated match with someone who was interested. Though I don't know the details.
