1st rd pairings:
Morozevich - Kasimdzhanov
Mamedyarov -Ponomariov
Caruana - Radjabov
Karjakin - Nakamura
Giri - Topalov
Leko - Kamsky

Rumor has it that Leko has already offered draws to the rest of the field

I've bet £1 on Nakamura as I think he has shown that his aggressive style works even against the best in the world and I couldn't believe he was only the fifth favourite on the betting site I use.

In Morozevich vs. Kasimdzhanov starting at 35 there seems to be a number of moves that are just wasting tempos. Anybody know what that is all about?

They were in time trouble. They were treading water until move forty when they got more time on their clocks.

Nakamura has played well against most of these players.
