5 min Blitz blunder game

Last weekend I played some 5 min blitz games with a friend of mine.

One of them I thought is kinda funny.

e4 1 e5
Nf3 2 Nc6
Bc4 3 h6
d3 4 Nge7
Nc3 5 b6
Be3 6 d6
Nd5 7 g5???
Nf6# 8

This leads to the following diagram



I agree that there is no brilliancy in here just a blunder to the mate in 1. However I do think this is a funny postion. Mate within 8 moves by the knight without any capture beeing made sounds like a help-mate. I did not see this before and smothermates are always fun. I think 🙂
